Early November, Red Bull aligned the best BMX riders in the World in a gorgeous location, the Grand Palais in Paris, for an unique event, the Red Bull Skylines.

We produced amazing content with 2 Red Epics during three days, a big thanks to U-Koncept and Red Bull for that opportunity.

This fall Quiksilver Women launches its first Winter Outerwear Collection.

We made the trip to Klosters, Switzerland, to direct and shoot its vibe clip with the two charming Steph Gilmore and Charlotte O’ Connor.

They picked up European snowboard star Iouri Podlatchikov as a guide to discover the amazing Alps landscapes.

Good news is the Red Epic-M did a great job shooting outside between minus 20°C and minus 15°C.

Quiksilver Pro France 2012

Every year in early fall, Hossegor beach-breaks are the host of one of the most famous stop of the Surf World Tour : the Quiksilver Pro France.

On that occasion Quiksilver asked us to direct the « Daily Highlights » and the 22mn TV Show which will be Worldewidely broadcasted.

We chose to mix high quality footage and narrative content with one team running interviews all day.

Regarding the gear, we decided to use only large sensor camera or Digital Cinema Equipment if you prefer with 2 Red Epics, 1 Red One, 1 Canon C300 and 1 Panasonic AF-100 for each day of compétition.

It was the opportunity to compare the pros and cons of these cameras in almost every shooting condition.

A big thanks to our team: Alain Riou, Arthur Bourbon, Charles Meny, Fabrice Chantal, Fred Lebrault, Isio Noya, Jimmy Graham, Regis Leon et Vincent Chassignole.

Summer 2012

Between Africa, France and Tahiti, we didn’t improve our carbon print last summer.

At least we traveled to some amazing locations and share good moments with all kind of characters.

We first went to Mozambique to shoot a fashion campaign. This ex-Portuguese colony is just emerging from years of civil war and slowly opens its doors to tourism.
Landscapes are beautiful and the vibe is… weird, sorry that’s the first word which came in mind. Everything is really slow and you need to get used to it especially if you travel there to work but in the same time people are really friendly.

Just before the end of our trip on the West Coast of Africa, the first winter swell was on point to hit the opposite coastline so we deciced to move quickly to Namibia.
We met with Jeremy Flores and we scored what we all called the best waves of our lives, amazing left-hander barrels running through 2,5km in the middle of nowhere.
The day we came back home, we heard that a second swell was supposed to hit this area again so we decided to jump in the first plane and to go back there. This second trip gave us the opportunity to set-up a Cineflex on top of a 4 wheels drive and to try to follow these amazing barrels…

and it worked!

Jeremy Flores offered us to chase this swell in Reunion Island which is probably one of my favorite location in the World, the kind of invitation I will never refuse… We spent some great times there in and outside the water…
Summer runned so fast that it was already time to move to Tahiti with fellow Quiksilver riders, Kelly Slater, Travis Logie, Tiago Pires and Leo Fioravanti.
Raimana took care of us over there and it was again an amazing trip.

24 flights, 9 different countries and thousand of kilometers in huge 4 wheels drive in 2 months… Busy summer, you just said ?

Stéphanie Gilmore (4x Surfing World Champion), Alain Riou (Pro Surfer) & Tom Frager (singer), 3 major ambassadors of the Quiksilver Foundation have visited the Anambe village in Senegal. For the past 2 years, the association Cœur de Fôret has worked to develop a sucessful economic model in this village thanks to the support of Quiksilver Initiative via the funds raised during the « Green Campaign ».

Nio Far is a mini-doco about their experience in Africa, from Dakar to the South of the Country surrounded by the rythm of the African music.

It can be really tricky to find electricity in some area of the Senegal, that’s the reason why we travelled with our Bolex SBM, this camera allowed us to capture stunning imagery even when we were far away from civilization.

Jeremy Flores Moments 2012

This is one the last job we’ve directed, Jeremy Flores global boardshort campaign.
We shot most of the footage in Reunion Island and in Panama between June and July 2011.

The Red One was our main camera on this project, we also used the Canon 5D Mark II for the timelapses and even a 60D for some sequences in Panama.
